Flora's Lexicon is an artifact of another age. A brief description of a flower sometimes a bontanical description, sometimes a bit of folklore about it, is followed by bits of poetry and quotes from a variety of authors. Mostly well known poets. The peculiar conceit is that each flower is related to a particular human emotion. Flowers are fine, poetry is fine, human emotions are fine-- but the three have all the business of a trolloped high victorian sitting room. Too much of a good thing in too small a space.
