Arquitetura popular brasileira

Pioneering and systematic research aimed at the better understanding of the popular residential architecture of the vast territory of Brazil. The author examines the ethnic composition, construction techniques and climatic factors in his study of ordinary house types, constructed in different regions of Brazil, while reviewing the contributions of the Pre-Columbian inhabitants and the European (Islamic and Roman influences) and African (Sudan) colonial settlers and immigrants.
