PRAISE TO GOD.-Dr. Watts..
How glorious is our heav'nly King,
How great His pow'r is, none can tell,.
Not angels that stand round the LORD
Then let me join this holy train,
And my first off'rings bring;
My heart resolves, my tongue obeys,
To hear their mighty Maker's praise
PRAISE FOR MERCIES.-Dr. Watts.
WHENE'ER I take my walks abroad,
How many poor I see;
What shall I render to my GOD,
For all His gifts to me?
Not more than others I deserve,
How many children, in the street,
Half naked I behold;
While I am cloth'd from head to feet,
While some poor wretches scarce can tell,
I have a home wherein to dwell,
While others early learn to swear,
And curse, and lie, and steal,
Are these Thy mercies, day by day,
To me above the rest?
Then let me love Thee more than they,
And try to serve Thee best.
THE ALL-SEEING GOD.-Dr. Watts.

Pardon my sins before I die,
And blot them from Thy book,
Remember all the dying pains
And let His blood wash out my stains,
And answer for

T' indulge a sinful thought,
Since the great GOD can see and hear,,
THE LORD'S DAY.-Dr. Watts.
THIS is the day when CHRIST arose
Why should I keep my eye-lids clos'd,
This is the day when JESUS broke
To-day with pleasure. Christians meet,
I'll leave my sports to read and
THE SABBATH.-Rev. Wm. Mason.
AGAIN returns the day of holy rest,
Which when He made the world JEHOVAH blest; When like his own he bade our labours cease,
And all be piety, and all be peace.
While impious men despise the sage decree,
Let us devote this consecrated day
So shall the GOD of mercy pleas'd receive
Father of Heaven! in whom our hopes confide, Whose pow'r defends us, and whose precepts
In life our Guardian, and in death our Friend, Glory supreme be Thine, till time shall end.
SOON will the evening star, with silver ray, Shed its mild lustre on this sacred day; Resume we then, ere sleep and silence reign, The rites that holiness and Heaven ordain.
