Muse, redis-moi ces noms alors connus: qui le premier, qui ce dernier se réveilla du sommeil sur ce lit de feu, à l'appel de leur grand Empereur, quels chefs, les plus près de lui en mérites, vinrent un à un où il se tenait sur le rivage chauve, tandis que la foule pêle mêle, se tenait encore au loin?
