Winship of Somerville, Mass., at 9.30, in the assembly room of the Central High School. Devotional exercises were led by Rev. Dr. Shaw of Montreal. President Winship delivered an introductory address, which was of an historical nature, dwelling especially upon the progress of the world during the lifetime of the Institute. (This address is printed in full in a subsequent portion of this volume.) Rev. Charles Fleischer of the Boston School Board spoke briefly on "The Use of the Bible in the Public Schools."
