MARCH 18.

1. To replace to the finking-fund the like fum. iffued thereout, to difcharge from the 29th of September, 1765, to the 25th of December following, the annuities attending fuch part of the joint ftock, established by act 3 Geo. III. chap. 9. in refpect of feveral navy, victualling, and tranfport bills, and ordnance debentures, as were redeemed in pursuance of the act of laft feffion, chap. 23.

2. Upon account, for defraying the charge of the pay and cloathing of the militia, for one year, beginning the 25th of March, 1766

MARCH 24.

1. To be employed in maintaining and fupporting the British forts and fettlements on the coaft of Africa, under the direction of the committee of merchants trading to Africa

2. Upon account, to enable his Majefty to difcharge fuch unfatisfied claims and demands for expences incurred during the late war in Germany, as appear to be due by the reports of the commiffioners, appointed by his Majefty, for examining and stating fuch claims and demands

3. Upon account, to enable his Majefty to complete the payment of the money ftipulated by treaty to be paid to the Landgrave of Helle Caffel, in extinction of all demands, under the title of reasonable fuccour, or otherwife

4. Upon account, towards enabling the foundling hofpital to maintain and educate fuch children, as were received into the fame, on or before the 25th of March, 1760, from 31ft December, 1765, exclufive, to December 31, 1766, inclufive, to be iffued and paid for the faid ufe, without fee or reward, or any deduction whatsoever

5. And further for the faid ufe, and to be iffued in the fame manner upon account, the monies remaining uniffued of thofe granted in the last feffion, for the ufe of the faid hofpital, amounting to

1. Towards paying off and discharging the debt of the navy

2. That one-third part of the remaining capital ftock of annuities, after the rate of 41. per cent. per annum, granted in refpect of certain navy, victualling, and tranfport bills, and ordnance debentures, delivered in and cancelled, pursuant to an at 3 Geo. III. chap. 9. be redeemed, and paid off, on the 25th of December next, after difcharging the intereft then payable in respect of the fame.

3. To enable his Majefty to redeem, and pay off, one-third part of the capital ftock of the faid

annuities

APRIL 14.

To make good the deficiency of the grants for the fervice of 1765

1. That the ufual land-tax of 4s. in the pound be continued for one year, from the 25th of March, 1766. 2,037,8241. 15s. 11d.

2. That provifion be made, to remove all doubts concerning the afcertaining of the duties payable upon the importation of linen-cloth of the manufacture of Ruffia, in purfuance of the act of laft feflion, chap. 43. and for fupplying an omiffion in the faid act, by declaring that all unrated linen-cloth and diaper of Ruffia, being in breadth more than twenty-two inches and a half, and not thirty-one and a

half inches, were by the faid act intended to be rated at 41. for every 120 English ells thereof.

MARCH 10.

1. That the duties granted upon cyder and perry by the act 3 Geo. the 5th of June next enfuing ceafe, III. chap. 12, fhall from and after

determine, and be no longer paid.

2. That, from and after the faid 5th of July, an additional duty of 6s. per bogfhead, be laid upon all cyder and perry, which fhall be made within this kingdom, and fold by retail, to be paid by the retailer thereof.

5. That, from and after the faid 5th of July, an additional duty of 31. be laid upon all cyder and perry which fhall be imported into this kingdom.

4. That, from and after the faid 5th of July, a duty of 16s. Sd. per hogfhead, be laid upon all cyder and perry, which fhall be made within this kingdom, and fent or configned to, and received by, any factor or agent, to be fold or dif

pofed of, the faid duty to be paid by fuch factor or agent.

5. That, from and after the faid 5th of July, a duty of 6s. per hogf head be laid upon all cyder and perry, made for fale within this kingdom, by dealers in, or retailers of cyder or perry, from fruit of their own growth, to be paid by fuch dealers and retailers.

6. That the faid duties be appropriated unto fuch ufes and purpoles, as the duties granted by the faid act, made in the third year of his prefent Majefty's reign, were thereby made applicable.

MARCH 18.

That the fum of 1,800,0001, be raised by loans, or exchequer bills, to be charged upon the firft aids to be granted in the next feffion of parliament, and fuch exchequer bills, if not difcharged, with intereft thereupon, on or before the 5th of April 1767, to be exchanged and received in payment, in fuch manner as exchequer bills have ufually been exchanged and received in payment.

APRIL 21.

1. That towards the fupply granted to his Majefty, the fum of 1,500,0001. be raised in manner following; That is to fay, the fum of 900,000l. by annuities, after the rate of 31. per centum, to commence from the 5th of January lat: and the fum of 600,000l. by a lottery, to confift of 60,000 tickets, every blank to be of the value of 61. the blanks and prizes to be attended with the like 3 per cent. annuities, to commence from the 5th of January 1767; and that all the faid annuities be transferrable at the bank of England, be paid halfyearly, on the 5th of July, and the 5th of January in every year out of the finking fund, and be added

to, and made part of the joint flock of 31. per cent. annuities, which were confolidated at the bank of England, by certain acts, made in the 25th and 28th years of the reign of his late Majefty, and feveral fubfequent acts, fubject to redemption by parliament. That every contributor towards the faid fum of 900,000l. after his making the depolit herein aftermentioned, fhall in respect of every 601. of his contribution to fuch fum, be entitled to receive four tickets in the faid lottery, upon payment of 101, for each ticket; and that every contributor, towards the faid fum of 900,cool. fhall, on or before the 8th of May next, make a depofit, with the cahiers of the bank of England, of 151. per centum, in part of the monies to to be contributed, as a fecurity for making the future payments to the faid cashiers, on or before the times herein after limited; that is to fay, On the 900,0001.

101. per cent. on or before the 8th of June next; 101. per cent. on or before the 15th of July next; 151. per cent. on or before the 15th of Auguft next; 131. per cent. on or before the 15th of September next; 151. per cent. on or before the 15th of October next; 201. per cent, on or before the 15th of November next.

And the monies to be contri→ buted, in respect of the faid lottery, fhall be paid to the faid cahiers on or before the times herein after limited: that is to say,

On the lottery:

251. per cent, on or before the 20th of June next; 351. per cent, on or before the 15th of July next ; 401. per cent. on or before the 15th of September, 1766.

And

And that all the monies, received by the faid cashiers, be paid into the receipt of his Majefty's exchequer, to be applied, from time to time, to fuch fervices as fhall then have been voted by this houfe, in this feffion of parliament, and not otherwife, and that every contributor, who fhall pay in the whole of his contribution on account of his fhare in the annuities attending the faid fum of 900,000l. at any time on or before the 13th of October next, or on account of his flare in the fait lottery, on or before the 14th of July next, fhall be allowed an intereft by way of difcount, after the rate of 31. per centum per annum, on the fum fo completing his contribution refpectively, to be computed, from the day of completing the fame, to the 15th of November next, in regard of the fum paid on account of the firstmentioned annuities, and to the 15th of September next, in refpect of the fum paid on account of the faid lottery.

2. That the feveral rates and duties, now payable upon houfes, in Great Britain, do ceafe and determine from and after the 10th of October, 1766.

3. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid for and upon every dwelling houfe, inhabited, which now is or hereafter fhall be erected, within that part of Great Britain called England, the yearly fum of three fillings.

4. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid, for and upon every dwelling houfe, inhabited, which now is or hereafter fhall be erected, within that part of Great Britain called Scotland, the yearly fum of one Thilling.

5. That the feveral rates and duties, how payable for windows of lights, in Great Britain, do cease and determine from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766.

6. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766. there fhall be paid for every window, or light, in every dwelling houfe, inhabited, or to be inhabited, within the kingdom of Great Britain, which shall contain feven windows or lights, and no more, the yearly fum of 2d. for each window, or light, in fuch houfe.

7. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there shall be paid for every window, or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which thall contain eight windows, or lights, and no more, the yearly fum of 63. for each window, or light, in fuch house.

8. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there shall be paid for every window, or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain nine windows, or lights, and no more, the yearly fum of 8d. for each window or light in fuch houfe.

9. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there shall be paid for every window, or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain ten windows or lights, and no more, the yearly fum of 10d. for each window or light in fuch houfe.

10. That, from and after the said 10th of October, 1766, there shall he paid for every window, or light, in every fuch dwelling houte, which fhall contain clever windows or lights, and no more, the yearly fum of 1s. for each window or light in fuch houfe.

11. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall

be

be paid for every window or light, in fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twelve windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of is. 24. for each window or light in fuch house.

12. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain thirteen windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of Is. 4d. for each window or light, in fuch house.

13. That from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, or 19, windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of 1s. 6d. for each window or light in fuch house.

14. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fall be paid for every window or light in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of Is. 7d. for each window or light in fuch house.

15. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there hall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty-one windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of 1s. 8d. for each window or light in fuch house.

16. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there hall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty-two windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of 1s. 9d. for each window or light in fuch house.

17. That, from and after the faid 10th of Odober, 1766, there shall be paid for every window or light,

in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty-three windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of 1s. 104. for each window or light in fuch house.

18. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty-four windows or lights and no more, the yearly fum of Is. 1d. for each window or light in fach houfe.

19. That, from and after the faid 10th of October, 1766, there fhall be paid for every window or light, in every fuch dwelling houfe, which fhall contain twenty-five windows or lights or upwards, the yearly fum of 2s. for each window or light in fuch house.

20. That out of the faid rates and duties there be fet apart and applied to the general or aggregate fund, the yearly fum of 91,4851, 6d. three-farthings, in lieu of the like fum, which, by an act made in the 20th year of the reign of his late Majefty, was directed to be fet apart and applied to the faid fund out of the rates and duties upon houses, and windows or lights, thereby granted.

21. That there be allo fet apart out of the faid rates and duties, the yearly fum of 93,2171. 10s. Id. and one fixth part of a penny which appears to have been the annual produce, upon a medium of fix years laft paft, of certain rates and duties upon houfes, and windows or lights, granted by an act made in the 31ft year of his faid late Majefty's reign; and that fuch yearly fum be applied towards pay. ment of the annuities, established by the faid act.

22. That the refidue of the pro duce of the faid rates and duties
