Beneath are deposited the remains of Son of a Neapolitan Physician, Who Dedicated His life To the attainment and improvement He fixed His residence in this Country, by many useful writings And no less By the independence of His principles, But unostentatious qualities To the Happiness of mankind. He was Born at Naples MDCCXLIX. Died in London, December XXII, MDCCCIX. MAJOR ISAAC BYERS, of the Biddeford Fencibles, Formerly Captain in the Hon. East India Company, Served at Fort Marlbro', Died January 1801, In Memory of PATRICK IVORY, M.D. Died 28th of May 1810 Mrs S. HART, Died July 4th 1810, after a long illness of one year and eight months. With pining Sickness waste her frame Acute disease and tiring pain; Then life fast spent Her feeble flame, JOHN EVANS Died Jany 16th 1811. Aged 60 years. PETER HENRY TREYSSAC DE VERGY, buried * A portrait in mezzotinto of this person was published in February, 1775, with a short printed account of him, in which he is styled advocate in the Parliament of Bordeaux, author of several literary performances in England, and famous for his concern in the memorable quarrel between the Count de Guerchy, Ambassador Extraordinary from the Court of France, and the Chevalier d'Eon, Minister Plenipotentiary from the same court to the Court of Great Britain. There is a copy also of his last will, in which he confesses his concern in a plot against D'Eon, and intimates that he withdrew his assistance upon finding that it was intended to affect the Chevalier's life. De Vergy died on October 1, 1774, aged 42, and remained unburied till March, his executor waiting for directions from his family. He had desired in his will that his relations would remove his body to Bordeaux. In Memory of JAMES ROBINS, M.D. Died at Kentish Town + Sacred to the Memory of Mrs ELEANOR COSTIGAN, and Daughter of the late James Dunn, Esqre, of Ballancanty in the King's County, Ireland, Who departed this Life on the 8th November 1802, in the 42nd year of Her age. The virtues which she displayed in the discharge of every duty were exemplary, and when those who experienced them shall be no more, this stone may remain as a filial affectionate tribute to departed worth and excellence; for in truth She was but words are wanting to say what, think what woman should be, she was that.
