Here repose the remains of

ANNA MARIA THERESA VAN WATERSCHOOTDS, Wife of Louis Chignard, proprietor and inhabitant of Demerary;

She was Born April 27th 1778,
And breathed Her last February 25th 1809,
Aged 31 years.

A virtuous wife, a tender mother,
And compassionating the sufferings of others,
Particularly those of the unfortunate;

She is regretted by all Her relations and friends: Who cannot console themselves for this irreparable loss.

Mr SAMUEL STEVENS UPPOUR,
Who was upwards of 20 years
Surgeon to this Parish,
Died Dec 29th 1820

Aged 61.

Beneath are deposited the remains of
TIBERIUS CAVALLO,

Son of a Neapolitan Physician,

Who Dedicated His life

To the attainment and improvement
of Science.

He fixed His residence in this Country,
As the chief seat of free inquiry.
Distinguished

by many useful writings
And ingenious inventions
In various branches of
Natural Philosophy,

And no less

By the independence of His principles,
The gentleness of His manners,
And the innocence of His life,
He lived beloved and admired
By a numerous circle of friends,
Who justly admired in Him
Those solid

But unostentatious qualities
That contribute most essentially

To the Happiness of mankind.

He was Born at Naples MDCCXLIX.

Died in London, December XXII, MDCCCIX.

after a long illness of one year and eight months. With pining Sickness waste her frame Acute disease and tiring pain;

Then life fast spent Her feeble flame,
And all the helps of man prov'd vain.

PETER HENRY TREYSSAC DE VERGY, buried
March 3, 1775.*

* A portrait in mezzotinto of this person was published in February, 1775, with a short printed account of him, in which he is styled advocate in the Parliament of Bordeaux, author of several literary performances in England, and famous for his concern in the memorable quarrel between the Count de Guerchy, Ambassador Extraordinary from the Court of France, and the Chevalier d'Eon, Minister Plenipotentiary from the same court to the Court of Great Britain. There is a copy also of his last will, in which he confesses his concern in a plot against D'Eon, and intimates that he withdrew his assistance upon finding that it was intended to affect the Chevalier's life. De Vergy died on October 1, 1774, aged 42, and remained unburied till March, his executor waiting for directions from his family. He had desired in his will that his relations would remove his body to Bordeaux.

of Charles Street, Middx. Hospital,

and Daughter of the late James Dunn, Esqre, of Ballancanty in the King's County, Ireland, Who departed this Life on the 8th November 1802, in the 42nd year of Her age.

The virtues which she displayed in the discharge of every duty were exemplary, and when those who experienced them shall be no more, this stone may remain as a filial affectionate tribute to departed worth and excellence; for in truth

She was but words are wanting to say what, think what woman should be, she was that.

This vault contains the Mortal Remains
of PETER DELMEDICO, Esquire,
of Massa di Carrara, in Italy,
Died on the 2nd of October 1805,
in the 61st year of His age.
