Here lyeth interred ye Body of Mrs. SVSANNA former Wife of Mr Emmanvel Dvdson of this Precint who departed this life ye 25th of Ivly 1690 Aged 27 Years. Here lies the Body of Mrs. CHRIS GAPPER, Alfo the Body of Capt JOHN BROWNELL (Father of the above Mrs. Gapper) who died the 19th of June 1767, Aged 7Likewise Mrs. MORRIS SETTON who died March the 8th 1786 Aged 77 Years. Also Mrs. LUCY HUET late Wife of Doct" Huet of Gower Street, Daughter of the above Capt". John Brownell who died the 1st of Feb. 1807 Aged 61 Years. To the Memory of ANDREW COLETEE DUCAREL, L.L.D. Commissary of St. Catharines and of the Diocefs of Canterbury who died May the 29th: 1785, Aged 72.. Alfo of SARAH DUCAREL, Relict of the above Dr. Ducarel, who died Oct. 6th 1791, Aged 95 Years. Near this place lies interred the remains of Mrs. ELIZABETH GRIGG, formerly of this Parish; who died the 16th of September 1760: and of her two daughters, ANNE WINNIE, Widow, who Died 27th Dec 1786, Aged 66 years, and MARY GRIGG, Spinster, who Died the 16th of January, 1792, Aged 65 years: in conformity to whose last will this Monument is erected. After giving divers legacies, she bequeathed the residue of her personal estate, to be applied for the benefit of poor women, in the same manner as they are provided for by the Trinity House. Sacred to the Memory of EMILY ELIZABETH WYNYARD, and departed this life April 16th, 1832, Sincerely regretted as she was beloved and respected by numerous relatives and friends.. Sacred to the Memory of Lieut. General Sir HERBERT TAYLOR, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath and of the Guelphic Order, first and principal Aide-de-camp to the Queen, Colonel of the 85 Regt. of Foot, and Master of this Hospital, who Departed this Life at Rome, on the 20th of March, 1839, and was interred in this Church on the 13th of June. He was the second son of the Revnd, Edward Taylor, of Bifrons, in the county of Kent, by Margaret, daughter of Thomas Payler, Esqr., Having passed forty-two years of his life in the service of the Royal Family and of his Country, in situations, both Military and Civil, of the greatest responsibility and importance, which he filled with the most inflexible integrity and acknowledged ability, having enjoyed the full confidence of three Sovereigns, and that of H.R.H. the Duke of York, which he repaid with the most zealous and unremitting devotedness to their service, he retired into private life at the close of the reign of William the Fourth. In 1819 he married Charlotte Albinia, Eldest Daughter of Edward Disbrowe, Esqr., of Walton Hall, in the county of Derby, By Charlotte, his Wife, youngest daughter of George, third Earl of Buckinghamshire. By her he has left a daughter, Charlotte Mary Louisa. This Monument is erected by his afflicted wife and daughter, in remembrance of an affectionate husband and father, who in his private character was distinguished by his benevolence, his justice, his extensive charities, and his attention to all his Religious and Domestic duties. Exemplary as a husband and father, brother, and friend, a good Christian a kind Master, a strict observer of his word, his Memory will long be cherished by his family and friends. Sacred to the Memory of only surviving child of Lieut. Gen1. Sir Herbert Taylor, and of Charlotte Albinia, his wife, who departed this life on the 9th of August, 1845, in the twenty-first year of her age, and is interred in this chapel.
