Here lieth the Body of Mrs. MARGARET BUTCHER, Wife of Mr. John Butcher, of Swallow Street, Who Departed this Life Jan. the 6th, 1773; Aged 44 years. Life is the Road to Death, Death Heaven's Gate must be; And Chrift is life to me. Here also lies three of their children, ELIZABETH, THOMAS, and MARY, who died infants. Alfo of Mr. JOHN BUTCHER, died 25 December, 1792, aged 61 Years. who died 1st of November, 1807, In a vault beneath this spot, Mr. JOHN SHOOLBRED, late of Mark Lane, Merchant, born 30th Nov. 1740, died 10th Jan., 1802. In the fame Vault are interred the Remains of Mrs. JANE SHOOLBRED, his Wife, and four of their infant Children. Also the Remains of their Daughter, Mrs. ELEONORA ISABELLA WEUVES, and her infant son. Near This Place lieth the Body of GEORGE SMITH, Many Years Governor of Tothill Fields Bridewell, Where his Probity, Piety, and Charity, Made him respected and beloved. He daily instructed the Prisoners In Evangelic Truth. On his decease, The Criminals wept for their Friend; He Departed this Life, In Jesus he lived; In Jesus he died. She liv'd and dy'd in Chrift, and now shes gone, To take poffeffion of a glorious throne. Beneath this Monument lies Interr'd the body of Mrs. ELIZABETH GRIFFITHS, wife of Mr. John Griffiths, of Puddle Dock Hill, London, who died Nov. 10, 1770, aged 20 years & 7 days. "In that day shall the Lord of Hofts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty unto the residue of his people." "I will greatly rejoyce in the Lord, my foul shall be joyful in my God, for he hath clothed me with the garments of falvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness." Isaiah, Chap. xxviii. Vr. 5. Chap. lxi. V. 10. Christian reader, the above scripture was greatly bleffed to thy departed fifter, who in her last moments, had a fure and steadfast hope through faith, of the accomplishment of the fame. Alfo Mrs. SOPHIA GRIFFITHS, who departed this Life on the 14th of July, 1783, aged 29 years. Also Miss REBECCA HOGG, Sifter to the faid Sophia Griffiths, who died on the 10th of October, 1784, aged 34 years.
