SARAH BARNWELL, of Barbadoes, in the West Indies,
Died at Gravesend in the county of Kent,
Sep 19th, 1835,
Aged 45.

Two homes she had on earth-the scorching coast,
Where Britain's flag floats in the tainted breeze;
And next her father's land, her fondest boast,
Where fortune blessed with chastened joy and ease.
But death has called her to a second life,
On softened tones her innocence had given ;
And from the valley of his shadowy strife,
May Christ receive her to a home in Heaven.

Here lies the Body of

the first-born son of

Mr. & Mrs. G. DASTIS,
Still-born on the 16th of Sep 1835.

Oh! you who know what the affection of parents is,
Pity the unhappy Mr. and Mrs. Dastis;
Who will regret all their life

The loss of their first-born child.
